Interested in Presenting at a Meeting?

At least two of our yearly general meetings include an educational and/or local resource presentation in addition to networking time. Interested in presenting at a general meeting or special virtual presentation? Please contact Genna Reeves at gnanewmexico@outlook.com to propose a presentation or speaker. If accepted by the Steering Committee, you’ll be scheduled to present at an upcoming meeting. We invite community partners for presentations, panel discussions, and workshops. Join us in learning, growing and finding community!

What We Do

4 quarterly in-person meetings per year (check website and social media for dates, topics, and locations).
- Planned for February, May, August, November.
Special presentations, webinars, social events, and community tours throughout the year.
- A Spring and Fall Virtual Educational presentation.
Maintain a private listserv for members to communicate about upcoming grief events, resources, referrals, case processing, etc.
Distribute information to the community about grief support throughout the state via social media.

GNA-NM Policy Regarding Presentation
of Literature/Written Work at General and Care Conversation Series Meetings

Purpose: To ensure that all books presented or promoted through the Grief Networking Alliance of NM align with our mission and community guidelines.

1. Material Review Requirement
Before any author, publisher, or presenter is permitted to showcase, present, or distribute a book or written resource at a Grief Networking Alliance of NM event, meeting, or platform, the material must undergo a formal review process.

Submission Timeline: Materials must be submitted for review at least 8-12 weeks (12 weeks preferred) prior to the scheduled presentation date. Please keep in mind that GNA-NM meets quarterly in person.

Content Alignment: Resources will be evaluated to ensure they offer constructive, supportive, and evidence-based or community-approved perspectives on grief and bereavement support.

2. Review Copy Submission Policy
As an informal networking group that is dedicated to community support, the Grief Networking Alliance of NM operates with no operational funds. Consequently, we cannot purchase retail copies of books for the evaluation committee.

Multiple Copies Needed: To facilitate the review process, authors or publishers are required to provide a minimum of two copies (one for each member of the Steering Committee is preferred, 4-6 copies) of the book or resource at no cost to GNA-NM. Instructions for delivery of the book copie(s) will be provided by the Chair via email.

Format: The review copy may be provided as a physical book or as a secure digital file (e.g., PDF or EPUB), depending on the preference of the GNA-NM Steering Committee and available formats by the author.

Non-Returnable Policy: All review materials submitted to the GNA-NM Steering Committee generally become the property of the Grief Networking Alliance of NM regardless of whether the material is approved for presentation, as we receive many requests related to books and written works. If the author needs the copies back, it can be discussed.

3. Review Outcomes & Notification
Upon completing the review, the GNA-NM Steering Committee will notify the applicant regarding approval.

Approved Materials: The presenter will be cleared to schedule or proceed with their presentation, and the book may be featured in event materials.

Declined Materials: If a resource is deemed a poor fit for our current audience or mission, the GNA-NM Steering Committee
